N.E.X.T.
N.E.X.T. 2 to 5 players. N.E.X.T. is the next
generation Truth or Dare played with a deck of playing cards. We try to keep it
tasteful and as always, strategically fun and entertaining. Feel free to provide
comments and questions in our forum.
Rules
- Every player has a hidden hand (only the player can see), and a display hand
(for everyone to see).
- Shuffle cards, distribute 3 to each player’s hidden hand. Shuffler goes first
and take turns in a clockwise direction.
- The idea of this game is to create the largest poker hand on 'display'.
- On the player’s turn, first pick up a card from the deck. Pick a card you
would like to play from your hand. Look up what task needs to be done on the
'N.E.X.T. task list'. If you complete the task successfully, the card stays on
your display. Else, the card is put back at the bottom of the deck. Only 1
diamond card (if the player has one) + 1 non-diamond card can be played per
turn. Feel free to say 'NEXT!' after your turn.
- Once the first person has 5 cards displayed, he/she takes all non-displayed
cards and randomly complete everyone’s 5 display hand. The losing poker hand
donates X dollars to an agreed upon charity (adjust X to the groups' agreement.
Default is 5).
N.E.X.T. Task List
Clubs - fun and entertaining. Carry out the task.
- 2 - Win a thumb war and win against majority of players.
- 3 - Best 2 out of 3, rock paper scissors against majority of players.
- 4 - On a count to 3, shout out a number from two to ten while simultaneously
showing any number of fingers (in 1 hand) against another player. If the sum
of the total fingers equates to the number you shout out, you win. If the other
player shouts the right number, you lose. You have 5 rounds to get it right.
- 5 - Carry a player on your back and walk 30 paces (15 for females).
- 6 - Do a head stand for 10 seconds (5 for females).
- 7 - Pick a player go down on his hands and knees so that his back is flat.
Proceed to lay on the player anyway you like, but your arms and legs must
suspended in the air for 5 seconds.
- 8 - Gurgle water for 25 seconds non-stop.
- 9 - Do the shimmy for 30 seconds.
- 10 - Make a paper airplane and see if yours beats all other players.
- J - Pick 1 player stick out his/her tongue and say 3 words (one at a time). If
you guess 2 of the 3 words before other player guesses, you win.
- Q - Laugh for 1 minute non-stop.
- K - Left hand holds right ear, and right arm pulled through the left arm, bend
over and spin on the spot 10 times. Walk a straight line 4 meters long and 1
meter wide.
- A - Everyone take a filled cup of water. Using only the tongue, spin the water
for 10 seconds. Your cup needs to spin longer than everyone else.
Hearts – Truth. Answer the question.
- 2 - Find a non-celebrity you had a crush on (who is single), in the
internet.
- 3 - Who would you like to get a massage from in this room?
- 4 - Excluding yourself, who do you like most in this room? Why?
- 5 - Excluding yourself, who needs makeup on the most in this room? Why?
- 6 - Who is the best French kisser in the room? Other players can challenge
by coming up with a way to measure the tongue (e.g. who can spin a
cup of water the longest, who has the longest tongue, etc).
- 7 - Find a non-celebrity you had a crush on (who is not single), in the
internet.
- 8 - What is your waist measurement?
- 9 - How much do you weigh?
- 10 - Tell a time when you were embarrassed within the past 5 years.
- J - Who needs to work out the most in this room. Why?
- Q - Tell a time when you felt jealous. Why?
- K - Tell a time when you felt hatred. Why?
- A - If someone gave you 1 million dollars, what is the worst thing you would
do. Other players can challenge by naming something worse that they think you
would do for 1 million.
Spades – Dare (complete to use card)
- 2 - Pull both your toes up to your nose and take 3 great sniffs.
- 3 - Text or email a love poem to an un-expecting friend.
- 4 - Scream "I'm so normal, it's a shame no one likes me!" on the street.
- 5 - Dial a random number and maintain a conversation for 3 minutes. Max 3
attempts.
- 6 - Pick someone to kiss you in this room (they choose the location, not the
hands).
- 7 - Spank a random player 3 times saying, "Who's your daddy?" each time.
- 8 - Text or email a love poem to the same sex that the group knows.
- 9 - Randomly get another player to give you a wedgie.
- 10 - Lick your fingers and stick it in your ear. Wash your hands after.
- J - Stick your finger up a random player's nose. Wash your hands after.
- Q - A player spits on his hand and you shake it.
- K - Take off a player's sock with your teeth.
- A - Demonstrate French kissing (the air) for 10 seconds.
Diamonds – Wild Cards. Discard to a separate pile after use
and draw a card
- 2 - Swap any displayed card once.
- 3 - Swap a card in your hand with a random card from another player.
- 4 - Look at the outstanding deck of cards and order the first 5 cards on the deck.
Shuffle the rest.
- 5 - Change hidden hands with another player.
- 6 - Put on your display.
- 7 - Reshuffle your hidden hand into the deck, draw 3 cards.
- 8 - Pick a displayed card. Randomly pick a player to carry out the action on
that card (including yourself). If the player is successful, take the displayed
card. Otherwise, nothing changes.
- 9 - Switch a card from your hand to one on your display.
- 10 - Skip the next player's turn.
- J - Put on another player's display.
- Q - Reverse the turn order.
- K - Swap this card with a discarded Diamond card.
- A - Randomly pick a card from any player and put on to his/her display.
